Vinni Walia leads an English Conversation Circle (ECC) in which he enjoys seeing students improve as they gain confidence in their communication skills. It makes him feel good to know that he's making a difference.
He is the Director of Facilities for Team San Jose which oversees the San Jose Civic Convention Center, Center for the Performing Arts, California Theater, Montgomery Theater and the South Hall. He's a member of the Board of San Jose Area Authority which oversees the SAP Center, Solar4America Ice, and Excite Ballpark Stadium.
Vinni is a Board Member of Hunger at Home which helps homeless people and was chosen as Volunteer of the Year by the San Jose Library. At UCSD, he was a volunteer instructor of English-in-Action. He has been a guest speaker at San Jose State and participated in student projects.
